Python Software Engineer – (Django/ Flask) – Basingstoke, Berkshire (1-2 days a week on site) – up to 50k+ bens

Working as part of a specialist team you will rapidly develop, optimise, deploy and maintain web-based GIS and Earth Observation software solutions. Building products for both new and existing customers.

Required:

• Python with associated libraries (Flask, Django)
• PostgreSQL
• Nginx or Apache
• Github, Docker
• Windows or Linux
• Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure)
• Agile

Beneficial:

* Queueing technologies (e.g. Redis, Celery)
* Python geospatial libraries (e.g. GDAL, Shapely, PyProj, Rasterio, Geopandas etc)
* CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Terraform etc)
* Knowledge of GIS and Earth Observation data formats (e.g. GeoJSON, GeoTIFF, COG etc)
* OGC standards/services
