Forward Deployed Engineer | Remote (UK/EU) | AI Automation | Python, LLMs, Agentic AI | £100k-£200k + Equity
A well-funded AI startup is transforming how some of Europe’s largest retail and consumer brands operate by deploying AI agents that automate complex business workflows. Backed by leading venture capital investors, they’ve built an AI-native platform delivering measurable ROI within weeks and are now scaling rapidly across Europe.
They’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed directly with enterprise customers, redesign operational workflows, build integration’s, deploy AI agents, and own delivery from kickoff through to production. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role combining software engineering, AI implementation, solution architecture, and consulting.
Required experience:
- 5-8 years as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar
- Strong Python, TypeScript/JavaScript development skills
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, RAG or MCP
- Experience building integrations using REST APIs, JSON, Webhooks and SQL
- Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers
- Retail, CPG, eCommerce, supply chain, procurement or ERP experience highly desirable
- High ownership mindset and startup mentality
