Full Stack Developer (React & Node.js)

Location: Reading, with 2 days working from home

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer proficient in React and Node.js to join our dynamic team in Reading. As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge Analytics platform, which is utilized by a diverse range of retailers and globally recognized brands. Your expertise in React, Node.js, API integration, and database management will be instrumental in enhancing our platform’s functionality and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our Analytics platform using React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend.
  • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum performance and responsiveness.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance platform functionality and data analysis capabilities.
  • Implement security measures and data protection protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Develop and maintain relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to manage large datasets efficiently.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use, while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and platform features.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with expertise in React.js and Node.js development.
  • Strong proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and integrating external services.
  • Extensive knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Previous experience working on analytics or data visualization projects.
