Head of Data Science (Hands-On) – Fintech – London (Hybrid, 2-3 Days/Week) – Up to £130k + 20% Bonus + Benefits

A high-growth and profitable fintech, headquartered in London, is seeking a hands-on Head of Data Science to shape the future of their AI-driven strategy.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a team of four Data Scientists while staying actively involved in coding and model development. You’ll have the autonomy to make strategic decisions that directly impact the company’s growth and performance. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, agile environment that feels more like a tech startup than a traditional financial institution.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience with Python and SQL

• Strong expertise in AI, OpenAI, and LLMs

• A track record in machine learning modelling

• Experience with tools such as SageMaker and DataRobot

• A background in finance or another regulated industry

You’ll be instrumental in building greenfield AI products from the ground up, helping the business stay at the cutting edge of innovation.
